Broadoak Barn
This is Broadoak Barn, in Penley. It's a detached barn conversion next to our house. We're in the countryside, about two and a half miles from Ellesmere.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
You get your own south-facing garden and patio out the back. It's enclosed and private. We put up some Christmas decorations in December, nothing too much.
Location is good for getting about. You're right on the border. Shropshire, Cheshire, and North Wales are all easy to reach. Ellesmere has a shop, a pub, and a restaurant.
Llangollen is about a 20-minute drive. They've got the canal there. Chester, Shrewsbury, and Ironbridge are all within a 30 to 40 minute drive. For castles, you've got Chirk Castle and Powis Castle nearby.
Facilities: it's got the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Parking right outside. We allow up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
