Willington Lodge is in Horseman's Green, right on the border of North Wales and Cheshire. It's a big Georgian house, Grade II listed. It sleeps twenty-three people in eight bedrooms, and there are eight bathrooms, so everyone gets a bit of space.
It's got a five-star rating because it's well looked after and has everything you'd need. It's a large group place. All the bedrooms have en-suites, and there's a ground floor wet room that's wheelchair accessible. The entrance and main living areas are on one level too.
The house is detached, with its own enclosed gardens. There's a big lawn, a walled garden, and some quiet ponds. It's a wedding venue, so the grounds are in good order. If you want to enquire about a wedding, you need to contact them directly, it's separate from the holiday lets.
Inside, it's warm and comfortable. There's a woodburning stove, WiFi included, and plenty of parking. It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, and a BBQ outside. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two dogs.
You're out in the countryside here. Whitchurch is about ten minutes away by car. It's a market town with shops, pubs, and cafes. Ellesmere is about the same distance, it's a nice little town with a mere you can walk around.
For a bigger day out, Shrewsbury is about half an hour's drive. It's got a castle, the River Severn, and a lot of history. Chester is also about thirty minutes in the other direction. There's the zoo, the racecourse, and the city walls to walk.
There's good walking and cycling locally, with lots of footpaths and bridleways. The Mercian Way cycle route is nearby. For fishing and riding, you can find places locally.
