East Titchberry Cottage is over near Hartland, on the border between Devon and Cornwall. It's a thatched, semi-detached place. National Trust, Grade II listed. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-kept.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs. Both have beds that can be made up as singles or a double, which is useful. There's one bathroom with a shower downstairs. A separate toilet upstairs.
The main thing you'll notice is the big Inglenook fireplace in the living room. It's got a wood burner in it. The floors are uneven in places, which is normal for an old cottage. The stairs are stone and a bit of a spiral. They're steep and the steps are uneven in height. We've put a stairgate at the top.
Outside, there are two garden bits. A walled lawn and patio round the back, and a fully enclosed courtyard at the front. Good for dogs. Parking for two cars.
Hartland Quay is about ten minutes away by car. It's dramatic. Good for a walk. Clovelly is fifteen, twenty minutes. You have to pay to go down into the village itself. Westward Ho! beach is about twenty-five minutes drive.
For facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
