Byre Cottage
Byre Cottage is in Adversane, just south of Billingshurst. It's on a working farm but it feels private. The place is all on one floor, which is good.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It sleeps four but there's only one bedroom, it's a kingsize bed. That's fine for a couple or a family where the kids don't mind sharing. The en-suite bathroom is good.
The living area has oak beams and a wood burner. It gets warm quickly. The kitchen is open-plan and has everything you'd need, plus a utility room and a separate toilet.
Outside there's a patio with a table and chairs. It catches the sun in the morning. The garden is enclosed, which is why we allow two dogs. There's plenty of parking.
The main pub is less than a mile away. It's a proper old Sussex pub, does good food. Billingshurst has shops and a supermarket.
For walking, you can go straight from the door. The South Downs are about a 20 minute drive. The National Trust South Downs page has good route ideas. For a day out, Arundel Castle is impressive. Pulborough RSPB nature reserve is close by if you like birds.
If you want the coast, Worthing is the nearest, about 16 miles. Brighton is 45 minutes by car if you fancy that.
In terms of what's here, you've got the washing machine, dishwasher, TV, Wi-Fi. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
