This is number 14 Doomgate House. It's in Appleby, which is in those little roads between the M6 and Pennines. Town centre is a couple of minutes' walk away.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bathroom is an en-suite to the main bedroom. It was all done up in 2023, so it's fresh and clean. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which is useful for that.
The living area is open plan on the ground floor, with the kitchen and dining there too. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It's got the basics: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher.
Appleby itself is a nice little market town. There's a pub close by, and fishing on the River Eden if that's your thing. For a round of golf, the Appleby Golf Club is just on the edge of town.
You're well placed here for getting out. The North Pennines are right on your doorstep. The Lake District is about half an hour's drive west - you can be in Penrith or at the northern lakes like Ullswater pretty easily. To the east, it's about the same to get into the Yorkshire Dales.
