Lilly Lodge is in Almondbury, which is a village just outside Huddersfield. It's a detached annexe, so it's separate from our house. It's all on one level.
It sleeps two, in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It's designed to be accessible, so the doorways are wide and there's a shower seat. The bathroom has a bidet toilet and a warm air dryer, which is a bit different.
Out the front there's a little patio with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon. It looks onto our garden, so you'll see a lot of birds.
The village centre is about a mile away. There's a shop, a cafe, and a pub that does food. Huddersfield town centre is ten minutes by car. The train station is about a mile and a half away if you want to go further afield.
For walking, you're close to the Peak District. It's about a 20 minute drive to get up into the hills. Holmfirth is 15 minutes away. That's where they filmed Last of the Summer Wine. The Hardcastle Crags estate is about 45 minutes away. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is 20 minutes away.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. The sofas recline. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We can sort out a discounted pass for the local gym if you want, they have saunas.
