Appleshine Cottage
This is Appleshine Cottage. It's in Almondbury, which is just outside Huddersfield. It's a converted old barn, stone walls and beams. Detached, so it's just you.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. The rating is four star.
It's up on a slope, so you get views all round. You can see Castle Hill and the Victoria Tower from here. The garden's enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog.
You can walk straight out into the fields. The Peak District is on the doorstep. Holmfirth is about four miles away for shops and cafes. Huddersfield is about the same distance.
There are a few pubs you can walk to, fifteen minutes or so. Some do food.
If you're driving out for the day, the National Trust has places like Nostell Priory and Hardcastle Crags within half an hour. Haworth and Bronte country are about twenty two miles. York is just over an hour.
For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's a patio with a barbecue.
