Teal Cottage is in Holmfirth. It's up on the side of the valley, so you get the view over the town and the fields beyond. It's a detached bungalow, all on one level, which is good if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps ten, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well kitted out. The garden is big and a bit wild, and it backs onto some woodland. You'll get privacy there.
The hot tub is on the patio. You can sit in it and look at the view. Inside, it's open plan, with a woodburning stove. There's parking for a couple of cars on the drive.
It's about a ten minute walk down into the centre of Holmfirth. It's a steep walk back up, and the driveway to the cottage is steep too. You should know that. Holmfirth has the usual stuff, shops, cafes, pubs. They filmed a lot of 'Last of the Summer Wine' around here.
You're on the edge of the Peak District. Digley Reservoir is a short drive away for a walk. The Peak District National Park site has walking routes. Holmfirth Vineyard is also about ten minutes by car if you want a drink or a meal with a view.
Within about half an hour you can get to places like the Yorkshire Sculpture Park or The Hepworth in Wakefield. Heading a bit further, you can be in central Manchester, Sheffield, or Leeds in under an hour if you fancy a city day.
Practical stuff: it takes up to three dogs. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. All bedding and towels are included.
