Holme Valley Cottage
Holme Valley Cottage is in Holmfirth. It's on the edge of the Peak District, so the views are good. You can see across the valley to the fields and woods.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has a kingsize with a single sofa bed in it. The living room is cosy. There's WiFi and a smart TV.
You can walk into Holmfirth in about twenty minutes, or drive in five. It's a proper little town with shops, pubs and a few places to eat. The Picturedrome is there if you want to see a band.
The garden is a decent size with a patio. You can park two cars on the driveway.
It's a good spot for walking. You're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park, so you can just step out. There are reservoir walks nearby too. If you're into cycling, some of the Tour de Yorkshire routes went through here.
Within about half an hour you can get to the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield, or the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Holmfirth Vineyard is close by if you want a tasting.
Further out, you've got places like Salts Mill in Saltaire or the Bronte Parsonage in Haworth. They're about an hour's drive. Same for the cities: Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield. All roughly an hour away.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, bedding and towels included. WiFi. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
