St. George's Cottage is in Scholes, just outside Holmfirth. It's a semi-detached stone cottage, set over three floors. Lots of old features. You've got flagstone floors, beamed ceilings and a wood burner in a big inglenook fireplace.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. The bathrooms are modern. One has a roll top bath. The master bedroom has an ensuite. There's a loft room with a double bed, but the ceiling is low in places. It's best for one person.
The stairs between floors are steep, which is pretty normal for these places. Just so you know.
You're within walking distance of Holmfirth. It takes about half an hour on foot. Holmfirth has plenty of cafes, shops and pubs. It's known as the setting for 'Last of the Summer Wine'. There's a vineyard on the outskirts too.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park as well. Good walking and cycling from the door. Holme Moss is nearby if you're into that.
In Scholes itself, there's a pub and a fish and chip shop very close by. Two more pubs are just a bit further.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a step into the cottage, but the entrance is level and wide enough for wheelchair access.
