Bramble Cottage is one of a group of old barns converted into cottages. It's up on a hill near Catshaw, in South Yorkshire. The views are really good, straight out over the Peak District.
It sleeps two people in one bedroom. There's one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. It's a 17th-century barn so you get the original beams and stonework.
Outside, you share some big gardens with the other cottages. There are plenty of benches to sit on. You also get shared use of a tennis court, a hot tub, and a Finnish barbecue house. There's a spa on site you can book into. It has steam rooms, saunas and that kind of thing.
The cottage has a patio garden, parking, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District here. The Trans Pennine Trail passes nearby, so walking and cycling right from the door is easy. There are reservoirs and moorland walks all around. A decent restaurant is about half a mile away. The nearest shop and pub are in Holmfirth, which is about a mile and a half.
For days out, Holmfirth is the local town. Bakewell, Buxton, and Chatsworth House are all within a 30 minute drive. Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester are about 40 minutes away if you want a city.
