The Cottage is a barn conversion on Lawton Farm in Upper Midhope. It's detached. You get a private lawn and patio out the back. It's opposite our house, but you've got your own space.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. Two are kings, one is a single. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-finished. Everything's clean and in good order. The kitchen is open plan with the living area. There's a table with benches.
It's in the Peak District National Park. A pub and a café are about a fifteen minute walk away. For a proper shop, you'd drive to Stocksbridge. Sheffield is about a half hour drive if you need a city.
For local walks, you've got Langsett Reservoir and the Don Valley right nearby. The area is popular with cyclists. For a longer day out, the main Peak District spots like Bakewell, Hathersage or Ladybower Reservoir are within a thirty minute drive.
The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is about twenty minutes away. Holmfirth, where they filmed Last of the Summer Wine, is about fifteen minutes by car.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
