Rowan Cottage is up in Catshaw. It's an old barn conversion, one of a few cottages on the same site. The main thing is the view. It's high up, so you look straight out over the moors and the Peak District.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. The rating is 5 Star, so it's well finished. It's got the original beams and stone walls inside.
You share the big garden with the other cottages. There's a shared hot tub, a Finnish barbecue hut, and tennis courts too. The on-site spa is a big feature, with steam rooms, saunas, and a few other treatments. You pay extra to use it.
Outside, you're surrounded by fields. The Trans Pennine Trail goes past, so walking is easy straight from the door. Holmfirth is close. Chatsworth House is about a 30 minute drive. Peak District National Park has all the walking routes. You can get to Sheffield or Manchester in under an hour if you need a city.
There's a pub about a mile and a half away and a restaurant half a mile down the lane.
Facilities wise: it has parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. They accept up to two dogs. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
