Mallard Cottage
This is Mallard Cottage. It's a stone terraced cottage in Holmfirth. The river is right out the front.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with an en-suite shower. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow, just so you know.
The main room is open plan with beams and a wood burner. Outside, there's an enclosed courtyard with a hot tub. You can hear the river from there.
The owner has an indoor pool, sauna, and another hot tub about seven miles away. You can book it for just yourselves for a small charge.
You're about half a mile from the centre of Holmfirth. There's a shop, pubs, and restaurants all within walking distance. It's famous from 'Last of the Summer Wine' if that's your thing.
You're on the edge of the Peak District National Park, so the walking and cycling is right there. Holme Moss is nearby for a serious bike ride.
There are two other similar cottages close by if a bigger group wanted to book together.
For facilities: it's got the wood burner, the hot tub, WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to three pets. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
