Mallard Cottage
Mallard Cottage is on the river, right on the outskirts of Holmfirth. It’s a stone terraced cottage, one of a few in a little row. You can hear the water from outside.
It sleeps two in one bedroom. There's an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living area is open plan, with beams and a wood burner. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, as you'd expect.
There's a small enclosed courtyard out the front, right by the river. It has a private hot tub. You can book time in the owner's indoor pool, sauna, and another hot tub about seven miles away for a small charge.
Holmfirth centre is about half a mile up the hill. There are shops, cafes, and plenty of pubs. The Picturedrome is there for live music. A lot of 'Last of the Summer Wine' was filmed around here, if that's your thing.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Good walking and cycling straight from the door. Holme Moss is nearby for a tough bike ride.
It has Wi-Fi, a TV, a washing machine, and included bedding and towels. Pets are welcome. There's a highchair if you need one. Parking is on the street outside.
