Pear Tree House Annexe is in Wooldale, a village just outside Holmfirth. It's attached to our house but has its own entrance. Sleeps three, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main thing is the garden. It wraps around the house and is shared with us. There are a few different spots to sit and catch the sun.
Inside, it's a decent size for three. There's an open fire place in the living room. The windows are the old mullioned type, which is nice but it makes some of the window seats into fixed seats, just so you know. The stairs are steep. Not dangerously so, but they are cottage stairs.
The local pub is right next door. It's a proper pub. The centre of Holmfirth is about a mile and a half down the road. That's where all the cafes, shops, and restaurants are. There's a small shop 150 yards away for basics.
If you walk, the Holme Valley is right there. You can head straight up onto the moors. Holme Moss, which cycling fans will know, is a short drive away for the views. For a day out, the Peak District National Park is about 20 minutes' drive. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is around half an hour away.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site and an electric vehicle charger. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
