Pear Tree House Annexe

Pear Tree House Annexe is in Wooldale, a little village just outside Holmfirth. It's attached to our house but it's your own space, with its own front door.

It sleeps three. One bedroom with a double bed and a single bed upstairs. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable.

The village is quiet. There's a decent local shop about two minutes walk away. The pub is right next door, literally next to the house. They do good food.

Holmfirth centre is about a ten minute walk downhill. It's a small town, not a big place. Good for a wander, some nice independent shops and cafes. It's famous for Last of the Summer Wine but there's more to it than that. They have a vineyard, which is unusual. The Picturedrome is a great music venue if you like live bands.

If you like walking, you're in the right spot. You can head out straight from the door into the Holme Valley. The hills are steep in places. The Holme Moss climb is a big one for cyclists, it's about a fifteen minute drive away.

The Peak District National Park is about twenty minutes drive. For something different, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wentworth Castle, and the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield are all roughly half an hour away.

What's here: there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive, and an electric car charger. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
