Goosander Cottage is in Holme, West Yorkshire. It's on the northern edge of the Peak District National Park. The views from here are really good. You can see right across the valley.
It's a big place. It sleeps fifteen people. There are seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's been done up to a high standard.
It used to be three weavers' cottages knocked into one. So it's a listed building, but it's been fully renovated. There's underfloor heating on the ground floor and a wood burner in the living area. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner.
Outside, there's a hot tub in the garden. The garden is yours to use. There's parking for several cars.
Holme village is about half a mile down the road. There's a pub there that does food. You can start walks straight from the cottage door. Cyclists will know Holme Moss is right there. The 2014 Tour de France came past here.
Holmfirth is three miles away. That's where they filmed 'Last of the Summer Wine'. It's got plenty of cafes, pubs, and restaurants. There's an old picture house that shows films. Huddersfield is about eight miles away if you need anything bigger.
For facilities, it's got pretty much everything: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to three dogs.
