The Annexe is in Frogham, near Fordingbridge, on the edge of the New Forest. It's a little building separate from our house, with its own front door and a private patio at the side.
It sleeps two, in one bedroom downstairs. The bathroom is down there too, next to the bedroom. Upstairs is the living room, kitchen, and dining table. We did it upside-down because the view from the first floor is better. You can see over the hedges into the forest.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and has everything you need, like a dishwasher and WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. The parking is right outside.
You get two donkeys and some ponies that come by most days. They wander down the lane and sometimes stop for a scratch. You can sit out on the patio and watch them go past.
The local pub, The Foresters Arms, is about three minutes' walk. They do food and have a garden. You don't really need the car if you don't want to drive.
The forest tracks start at the end of the lane. You can walk or cycle for miles straight from the door. For a bigger trip, the coast at Bournemouth or Christchurch is about a 40 minute drive. Salisbury and Winchester are both within half an hour if you want a cathedral or a look around the city.
We allow up to two dogs. There's an extra charge for that. The stairs up to the living area are a bit steeper than a normal house, just so you know.
