Loch Arklet is in Aberfoyle, right in the middle of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It’s a first-floor apartment in what was a big guest house. There are two other apartments in the building, so it's not completely private, but it’s quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s new and well put together. The whole living area is open plan. There’s an electric wood burner for the look of it, not for real heat. The entrance and the main rooms are on one level, which is handy.
You’re basically in the village. It’s two minutes on foot to the shops and places to eat. There’s the Scottish Wool Centre with a café, which is popular. You can hire bikes from there too for the trails.
The garden is shared with the other apartments. It’s a decent size if you want to sit outside.
For things to do, you’re in the National Park so walking is the main thing. Loch Lomond is about a fifteen-minute drive. The Duke’s Pass road from Aberfoyle is a famous drive for the views. Stirling Castle is roughly half an hour away if you fancy some history.
It’s got what you’d expect: WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Towels and bedding are included. There’s parking right there. No pets allowed.
