Iora Rua

Iora Rua is a modern house up at Gartclach Farm. It's one of three big detached places in a row, so you're not totally isolated, but they're spaced out well. You get your own enclosed garden with a hot tub. The view from there is just fields and hills. We get red deer in those fields quite often.

It sleeps six. Three big bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. One of the kingsize rooms has an en-suite and a bit of space for a cot if you need it. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's been finished to a good standard, everything's clean and new.

You're right on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park is just up the road too. For cycling, National Route 7 of the cycle network is about a mile away.

There's a cafe, gift shop, and garden centre you can walk to. Gartmore village is two miles down the road, they've got a community pub there that does food.

Drive-wise, you're about 10 to 20 minutes from villages like Aberfoyle, Drymen, and Killearn. They've got shops, places to eat, and some have electric car charging. Stirling is 17 miles, Glasgow is 22. For a day out, Loch Lomond shores, Loch Katrine for the steamship, Go Ape, or Blair Drummond Safari Park are all within half an hour.

Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, a BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. It's all on one level so the entrance is wheelchair accessible. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
