This is Iora Rua. It's a modern house, one of three detached places next to each other on Gartclach Farm. The views from here are good, just open fields and hills. You quite often see red deer in the fields around the farm.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all a good size. You've got two kingsize beds and one twin room. There are three bathrooms, which is handy. One of the kingsize rooms has its own en-suite and a dressing area where we can put a cot.
The garden's enclosed, so it's safe for a dog or kids. There's a hot tub out there. Inside, it's got a woodburning stove, WiFi, and all the usual stuff like a washing machine and dishwasher. The entrance and the main living area are wheelchair accessible.
You're right on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Good walking and cycling straight from the door. The National Cycle Route 7 is about a mile away.
The nearest cafe and garden centre is a short walk. For a pub, Gartmore village is two miles away – it's a community-owned place. Other villages like Aberfoyle or Drymen are a ten to twenty minute drive. They've got shops, petrol stations, and places to eat.
You can get to a lot in half an hour or less. Loch Lomond shores, Loch Katrine for a steamer trip, Blair Drummond Safari Park, or Go Ape if that's your thing. Stirling is about seventeen miles one way, and Glasgow is twenty-two miles the other.
If you need more space, this house can be booked together with the two next door for bigger groups.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
