This is Puddingstone Cottage, in Gartmore. It's a straight three-star rating place, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxury.
You sleep four people here. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy. One king size bedroom is on the ground floor with a shower room next door. There's a double bedroom upstairs with its own ensuite.
The access is from the back. You go down a little path by the village hall and into the garden. There's a small step up into the dining area from the hall.
The kitchen is compact but has what you need. The living room has good views across the fields towards Stirling. On a clear day, you can see the Wallace Monument in the distance.
There's a wood burning stove for cooler nights. A TV with Freeview and some DVDs are there if you want them. The WiFi usually works fine. The garden wraps around the cottage.
Gartmore is very quiet. The Black Bull pub is about a minute's walk away. It's community-owned and does food. Aberfoyle is a few minutes' drive and has shops, cafes, and the Trossachs Discovery Centre.
You're right inside the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The sign for the cycle route is practically outside the door. There's a shed in the garden you can lock bikes in.
For a day out, Stirling Castle is about a 30-minute drive. The Kelpies or The Falkirk Wheel are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. Loch Lomond shores are about 25 minutes away.
Included in the price: bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine. Parking is on the street outside. No pets allowed, sorry.
