Puddingstone Cottage
Puddingstone Cottage is in Gartmore, a quiet village about five minutes drive from Aberfoyle. It's in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not lavish.
You get there from the back, down a path next to the village hall and through the garden. The front door is at the rear. The stairs inside are a bit steep.
The living room has good views towards Stirling. On a very clear day you can see the Wallace Monument in the distance. There's a TV with Freeview and a woodburning stove.
The kitchen is fine. It has what you need. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
The Black Bull pub is about a minute's walk away. It's community-owned. There's a garden at the front and the back, plus a big shed you can use for storing bikes.
Aberfoyle is close. It has shops, cafes, and places to eat. You're right in the National Park, so walking and cycling routes start from the door. The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park site has maps and ideas.
You can drive to Loch Lomond in under twenty minutes. Stirling, with the castle and monument, is about half an hour away. The Stirling Castle site has visitor information.
No pets, sorry. There's parking for one car.
