Fiadh Ruadh

Fiadh Ruadh is a modern three-bedroom house. It's one of three detached houses all sat together on the farm here at Gartclach. It's not an old cottage, it's a new build, designed to be comfortable.

There are three good sized bedrooms. Two have double beds, one has twins. One of the doubles has its own ensuite. The house sleeps six, and all three bedrooms also have their own bathrooms, so it's handy if you're a few couples or a family. It's rated 4 Star, so it's got decent finishes and appliances.

You get your own enclosed garden. There's a patio, a table and chairs, and the hot tub is out there. The garden looks out over fields. We get red deer through the farm fairly often, so you might see some.

The house is on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Queen Elizabeth Forest Park is just up the road. There are plenty of walks from the door, and Route 7 of the National Cycle Network runs past about a mile away.

It's quite central for day trips. Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine are about half an hour's drive. Blair Drummond Safari Park is about the same. For the towns, Stirling is about 17 miles east, Glasgow is about 22 miles south.

There are a few villages nearby for shops and things. Gartmore village is two miles away, they have a community pub. We're within walking distance of a café and garden centre here on the farm. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Balfron, Aberfoyle, or Drymen, which are all between ten and twenty minutes away.

Facilities are all here: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside the door. The property is listed as wheelchair accessible at the entrance.

You can bring one dog. We ask that they stay out of the bedrooms and off the furniture.

If you're booking for a bigger group, this house can be rented together with the two next door. Between them they sleep 22.
