Capelrig
This is Capelrig. It's in Balfron, a quiet village in Stirlingshire. The cottage is attached to our house but you have your own separate door round the back. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The living room looks out over the garden and you get a clear view of the Campsie and Fintry hills. It's very peaceful. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. The garden is enclosed and it's yours to use.
Balfron has the basics: a couple of shops, a post office, and a golf course. There's a fuel station with electric charging points. The village is on the edge of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, so you're straight into walking country. Loch Lomond is about a twenty minute drive. You can go for a walk, hire a boat, or just look at the water.
Stirling is half an hour away by car. You've got the castle and the Wallace Monument there. Glasgow is under an hour if you want a city day out, or to go to the airport. Edinburgh is about ninety minutes.
Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can't bring pets, I'm afraid. It's set up for a couple.
