Gartclach
Gartclach is one of three big detached houses, built together on the farm here in Dalmary. It's modern and comfortable. It's not an old cottage. Your bit of garden is enclosed and has a hot tub. The view from it is over fields. You often see red deer out there.
It sleeps ten. There are four bedrooms, two with king size beds, one double, and one twin room. There are three bathrooms. There's also a games room with a sofa bed in it. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped and kept to a good standard.
The farm is right on the edge of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. You're also close to Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. It’s a good spot for walking or cycling. The national cycle route is about a mile away.
You can be at Loch Lomond or Loch Katrine in under half an hour. Blair Drummond Safari Park is about the same drive. Go Ape at Aberfoyle is nearby if that's your thing.
The nearest proper villages are Buchlyvie, Aberfoyle, Balfron, Drymen, or Killearn. They're all between a ten and twenty minute drive away. They have shops, cafes, petrol stations, and some have electric car chargers. There's a café and garden centre you can walk to from the house. Gartmore village is two miles away, it has a community-owned pub.
Glasgow is about 22 miles one way, Stirling is 17 miles the other.
The house has a wood burning stove, a BBQ, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There's parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
