Craigmore View is one of four cottages here at Inchrie, just outside Aberfoyle. It's in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. You're in the middle of trees and hills, but the village is only about a ten minute walk down the road.
The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps six. There are two bathrooms, which helps if you've got a full group. It's rated 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. You can bring one dog.
Out the front there's parking for a couple of cars. There's a patio area with a table and a BBQ. Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Everything you'd expect, really.
The big thing here is the location for getting outside. You can walk straight from the door into the forest. Loch Ard is close by for a swim or a paddle if you're brave. The cycle tracks around here are very good.
Aberfoyle has a Co-op supermarket, a couple of cafes, and some places to eat. The Wool Centre is there if you've got kids. For a bigger day out, Blair Drummond Safari Park is about half an hour away by car.
Stirling is under an hour's drive. It's worth a trip for the castle and the Wallace Monument. If you want to get out on the water, you can take the steamer on Loch Katrine, which is about a twenty minute drive from here.
