Carsaig
Carsaig is in Brig o' Turk, right on the edge of Loch Venachar. It's a detached house, set back from the road in about three acres of its own land. That land goes all the way down to your own bit of shore with a small jetty. The view from there is across the loch to Ben Venue.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's finished to a high standard. It's comfortable and clean.
You're in the Trossachs National Park. The loch is good for swimming or paddleboarding if you're brave, and it's fine for launching your own canoe or kayak from the beach. There's loads of walking straight from the door. Ben Ledi is right there for a proper climb, and Ben A'an is a shorter, steeper one with a great view. For cycling, the Duke's Pass road is famous, and there are miles of forest tracks.
Callander is about five minutes drive for shops, cafes, and a couple of pubs. There's a restaurant next door, the Venacher Lochside, which does food all day. A pub is two miles away.
If you want organised activities, Go Ape at Aberfoyle is about 15 minutes away. Stirling Castle is half an hour's drive. Glasgow and Edinburgh are about an hour if you fancy a day in the city.
At the house: there's parking for a few cars, an EV charger, a hot tub, a wood burning stove, and a dishwasher. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. All bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
