Fascadail

This is Fascadail. It's a one bedroom cottage in Aberfoyle, up near Loch Lomond. It sleeps two people. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The cottage is part of a group called Inchrie Holiday Cottages. They're set back from the road in a quiet spot, surrounded by trees and fields. You get your own patio area with a table and chairs. There's parking right outside.

Inside, it's all open plan downstairs. Kitchen, sitting area, that sort of thing. The stairs go up to the bedroom, which has a double bed. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a washing machine, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

You can walk into Aberfoyle village in about ten minutes. There's a supermarket there, a couple of places to eat, and some shops. The main thing here is the location. You're right in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. There are forest paths straight from the gate. Loch Ard is a five minute drive away for a walk or if you fancy a swim.

If you drive, there's a lot within half an hour. You can go to the David Marshall Lodge for a coffee and a view. The SS Sir Walter Scott steamship on Loch Katrine does cruises. Stirling, with the castle and Wallace Monument, is about 40 minutes away. Blair Drummond Safari Park is about 25 minutes drive.

For a longer day out, Glasgow or Perth are just over an hour. Edinburgh is about an hour and a half.

The facilities list is accurate. It has a TV, a cot and highchair if you need them, and a BBQ. It's a good base if you want to be outside.
