There is a local ferry from Mudeford Quay across to Hengistbury Head, which is a fascinating place thanks to its wide variety of wildlife habitats, archaeology, and geology.
The New Forest National Park, just a 15-minute drive, is renowned for its beautiful scenic walks and wild ponies roaming freely.
