Black Hill View is a one-bedroom bungalow in Manaton. It sleeps two. The rating is three star, so it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxurious.
The view is the main thing. You look straight out over the moor from the front. It's very quiet here.
The garden is enclosed but it's shared with the other bungalow next door. You get your own patio area with a table and chairs. There's parking right outside.
Inside, it's all on one level. There's a grab rail in the shower. The kitchen is small but it's got an oven, hob, and fridge. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV and the WiFi is okay.
You can bring two dogs. There's a charge for that.
Manaton is a proper Dartmoor village, just a few houses really. The Kestor Inn is the local pub, about a ten minute walk. They do food. For a shop, you need to drive to Moretonhampstead, which is about ten minutes away. Bovey Tracey is about twenty minutes.
You can walk straight onto the moor from the door. Hound Tor and Haytor are both close. For planning walks, the Dartmoor National Park Authority website is useful. The National Trust also looks after bits of it.
If you want to go to the coast, the nearest beaches are at Teignmouth or the Exe estuary, which are about forty minutes by car.
