This is Beech Tree Cottage at Blackaton Manor Farm. It's on our farm near Widecombe in the Moor, up on Dartmoor. You're at 1100 feet here, so the views are good.
It's a detached cottage that sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a double and one with twins, and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has what you need.
Downstairs is the kitchen and dining area, with a utility room next door for boots and washing. Upstairs is the living room with a wood burner. The stairs are a typical cottage style, so they're a bit steep.
Outside, there's a garden with seating and a gas barbecue. The cottage is in the middle of the farm, so you'll see cattle and sheep. We've got farm cats and dogs around too. You get full fibre internet, but mobile signal is patchy up here.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door onto the moor. Grimspound, the old Bronze Age settlement, is about five minutes drive away. Hay Tor and Dartmeet are about fifteen minutes.
Widecombe village is close. It's got a couple of pubs, a cafe, and a shop. The church is known as the Cathedral of the Moor.
For a day out, the coast at Teignmouth or Dawlish is about forty minutes. Exeter and Plymouth are within an hour's drive if you need a city.
In terms of facilities, it's got the wood burner, WiFi, a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can't take pets, and we don't allow children under ten, sorry.
