Abbey Cottage
Abbey Cottage is in St Bees on the Cumbrian coast. It's a single-storey detached cottage, so everything is on the ground floor. You get a private, enclosed garden. It faces St Bees Priory.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one king and one twin, and one bathroom with a shower over the bath. There's a wood burner in the living space. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The stairs are non-existent, which is handy for anyone who doesn't like steps. There's parking on site.
The village is small. There's a local pub and a shop. The beach is about a ten minute walk. It's the start of the Coast to Coast walk if that's your thing.
Whitehaven is about ten minutes by car. It's got a harbour and shops. The Lake District is a short drive inland, maybe 20 minutes to the lower lakes. Ennerdale and Wasdale are the closest valleys.
You can take two dogs. The garden is enclosed but it's not Fort Knox, so keep an eye on them. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included.
