Station House is in St Bees, right next to the railway station. It used to be the waiting room, so if you like trains, you're in luck. It's a detached bungalow.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one is a double and one has two single beds. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The trains do go past the back, but they're going slow into the station, so it's not as noisy as you might think.
You get a private patio and an enclosed lawned garden at the back. There's a sun lounge that leads out to it. The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, bedding and towels are included, and there's parking.
You can bring two dogs.
St Bees has a good sandy beach and some great coastal walks. The Coast to Coast Walk starts here. There's a couple of pubs and shops in the village. St Bees Priory is worth a look.
Whitehaven is about ten minutes away by car. It's a Georgian port town with a harbour and places to eat.
The Lake District is on your doorstep. For a steam train trip, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is about a twenty minute drive. Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. For walking, you're close to Wasdale with Wastwater, and Scafell Pike is under half an hour's drive.
