The Little House
The Little House is next to our other cottage, Orchard Barns, out here in Stapleton. It's for two people, just the one bedroom and bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up nicely. It's very clean and comfortable.
The garden is yours and it's enclosed, which is good if you've got a dog. You can bring one dog. There's a hot tub out there too. There's a wood burner inside for colder nights.
Being out here, the views are over fields. You can walk straight out from the cottage onto the trails. The Shropshire Hills are right there. For a proper walk, the Long Mynd and Stiperstones are about a 25 minute drive. The roads up there are quite steep in places.
Shrewsbury is the nearest proper town, about a 20 minute drive. It's got all the shops and supermarkets. The town centre is old, with Tudor buildings and the river running through it.
If you're interested in history, Stokesay Castle is about 25 minutes away. Ironbridge Gorge, which is a World Heritage Site, is about 40 minutes drive. It's where the Industrial Revolution really got going.
Facilities wise: it's got parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ you can use. Because it's next to Orchard Barns, you could book both if you had a bigger group coming, but they're separate otherwise.
