The Dairy Betton Strange

The Dairy is one of four barns on our farm here in Betton Strange. It's a hamlet, so just a few houses. We're two miles from Shrewsbury town centre.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It's open plan downstairs. The floors are wood and there are exposed beams, so you get the feel of the old building. It's been done up to be comfortable, not just stylish.

The garden is enclosed. You get your own patio with a table and chairs. The view is over our fields and the Shropshire countryside. There's plenty of parking right outside.

Inside, the kitchen is large and has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a wood burning stove in the living area. We include all bedding and towels. We allow up to two dogs. We leave a welcome hamper for you when you arrive.

Shrewsbury is a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town on the River Severn. Good for independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. The market's on regularly. It's a nice place to wander.

For walks, the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is about a 20 to 30 minute drive. The Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley are good starting points. There are several National Trust properties within half an hour, like Attingham Park and Biddulph Grange Garden.

We run a farm shop nearby if you want local produce. And if we're around and not too busy, we're happy to show any kids the animals on the farm.

The other barns - The Brewhouse, The Granary, The Stables - can be booked together if you need more space for a bigger group.
