This is Bud's Bay. It's a lodge on the Southerness Holiday Park, near the Solway coast. The park is family-focused, so there's stuff on site like an indoor pool, a kids' play area, and a mini golf course.
The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one is a double with an en-suite shower, the other has two singles. There's a separate family shower room too. It's all on one level, no stairs. The living area is open plan with patio doors out to a deck. The deck is enclosed, which is handy if you've got a dog or young kids.
You're right by the coast here. The beach is a short walk away. Southerness lighthouse is there too, it's a good spot. The Southerness Golf Club is basically next door if that's your thing.
Within about half an hour's drive, you've got a few options. Caerlaverock Castle is a good ruin to explore, and there's a wildlife reserve there too. Sweetheart Abbey is in the same direction. For a bigger day out, you can head into the Galloway Forest Park. It's about 40 minutes to an hour to get right into the heart of it for the walking trails.
In terms of what's here, it's a 4 Star lodge. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's Wi-Fi, Sky TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. You can bring one dog.
