Driftwood is a bungalow in Southerness. It's right on the edge of the golf course, and you can walk straight out onto a big sandy beach.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy. One of the shower rooms is large, with a walk-in shower.
The main room is big and open plan. It has picture windows on three sides, so the view is very good. You can see the sea, the beach, and the hills across the Solway. There's a patio door that leads straight out to the garden and the path to the shore.
The village has a shop about 500 yards away and a pub about 400 yards away. The golf course welcomes visitors. If you like birds, the RSPB Mersehead nature reserve is nearby.
Within about half an hour's drive you can get to Sweetheart Abbey, Drumlanrig Castle, and Mabie Forest for cycling. The area has a lot of history related to Robert Burns and the borders.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
