Firth Lodge
Firth Lodge is in Southerness, on the Solway coast. It's a detached house, so no neighbours through the walls, and about a hundred yards from the beach. The beach is sandy.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. We've tried to make it easy to use. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids.
There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about two hundred yards away. The championship golf course is even closer, maybe three hundred yards. The coast path is right there for walking.
Dumfries is about eight miles away for bigger shops. Dalbeattie Forest, for the mountain biking, is within half an hour. Galloway Forest Park, which is huge, is also about a thirty minute drive inland. If you like castles, Drumlanrig is in that direction too.
You can take two dogs. There's bicycle storage in the shed. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a highchair, and parking for two cars on the drive. The ground floor is accessible, but the bathroom is upstairs.
