This is Beachcomber Lodge in Southerness. It's on the holiday park, but it's just a normal house, not a caravan. You get the whole place and garden to yourselves.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the beach and the water. On a clear day you can see the Lake District hills on the other side. The living room has patio doors so you get the view even if you're inside.
It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The beach is right there, about 20 seconds walk. The village has a shop, a pub, and a restaurant. The lighthouse is worth a look. The golf course is the championship one you can see from the house.
It's a good spot for getting out. There's coastal walking right from the door. Dumfries is about a 25 minute drive if you need a bigger supermarket or want to look around. The area's full of history and forest trails if you want to explore.
For facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
