Wavecrest
Wavecrest is in Southerness, right at the edge of the Solway Firth. It's a detached bungalow, so no stairs inside. The view from the front is across the water to the Lake District. You can see it from the living room and the kitchen.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. We've had it rated 4 Star. We did some work on it a few years back, so it's comfortable. The kitchen is new and opens into the living area. There's a conservatory as well, which is a good spot to sit if it's breezy outside.
The beach is basically across the road, maybe twenty yards. The village shop is fifty yards away. There's a pub and a restaurant about a five minute walk up the lane. The golf course is here too, it's a championship course.
You're well placed for getting out. The lighthouse is a walk along the coast. For a bigger day out, Dumfries is about half an hour's drive. There's a lot of history around here if that's your thing. The forest trails at Ae Forest are also within half an hour.
What's here: parking for your car, WiFi, a washing machine, a garden. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to two dogs.
