Beeches Bay
Beeches Bay is a lodge in Southerness. It's detached. There's a wraparound deck that looks out over the beach and the sea. You can see the Cumbrian fells from there.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well set-up. The main room has patio doors out to the deck.
The lodge is on a holiday park. There's an indoor swimming pool you can use and sometimes entertainment in the clubhouse. Southerness village has a shop, pubs and restaurants. The beach is right there, with a lighthouse.
If you golf, the Southerness championship course is on your doorstep.
For days out, Dumfries is about half an hour's drive. There's mountain biking at the 7Stanes centres like Mabie and Dalbeattie, also within 30 minutes. A bit further on, you've got Caerlaverock Castle and the WWT Wetland Centre. There's an RSPB nature reserve along the coast too.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. No pets, sorry.
