Triss is in East Orchard, just outside Shaftesbury. It's one of four cottages in a courtyard, next to our house. We've got about eight acres of land here.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so comfortable but not luxurious. It's all on the ground floor, so it's accessible if you need that. The main living space is open plan.
The Wi-Fi is there, but it's just standard broadband. You'll get more bars on your phone sitting in the garden. The garden is shared with the other cottages, but it's a big space so you won't be on top of each other.
You're in the Blackdown Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You'll see deer and buzzards out the window. There's a fishing lake a mile away, and some walks right from the door.
Shaftesbury with its Gold Hill is about four miles north. That's where the main shops are. The nearest pub is two miles. Blandford and Salisbury are a short drive for a bigger day out.
Longleat is about half an hour's drive. So is the New Forest. The coast around Bournemouth and Poole is also within half an hour. Weymouth is a bit further.
For facilities, you've got the parking, the Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. It says pets are welcome, up to two. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
If you're looking into walks or visiting the big estates, these sites are useful: National Trust Dorset and Blackdown Hills AONB.
