Hardy Chalet is here on Stour Cross Farm, a dairy farm in Kington Magna. It's a detached chalet, so you've got your own space.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and, usefully, three bathrooms. One double is on the ground floor with a wet room en-suite, handy if stairs are a problem. Upstairs, the master has its own balcony looking out over the fields, and there's a twin room with another en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen, dining and living area are all together. The sofas recline. There's a TV and a dishwasher. WiFi is included. You can see the cows from the window.
Outside, you have a private veranda with seating. There's also a shared communal seating area with the other chalets here. We've got a games room on site too, with table tennis.
It's a working farm, so you'll see farm activity. It's quiet, but you'll hear tractors sometimes.
For getting out, you're right in the countryside for walks. The National Trust's Stourhead is about a 20-minute drive. The Dorset Jurassic Coast is within half an hour – places like West Bay or Bridport. Sherborne, with the abbey and castle, is about 25 minutes north.
Practical stuff: All bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. There's a washing machine. We don't take pets. We do now ask for a £100 refundable security deposit, due a week before you arrive.
