Kendalls Nook
Kendalls Nook is in Milton on Stour, near Shaftesbury. It's a converted triple garage, so it's a good size. Detached, with its own gated courtyard garden.
It sleeps six, but that's with the sofa bed in the living area upstairs. There are two proper bedrooms, one double and one twin. Two bathrooms, one with a shower downstairs and a family bathroom upstairs with a bath and a separate shower.
The conversion is new and done to a high standard. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well equipped. There's a boiling water tap, a walk-in pantry, underfloor heating, and an electric car charger. Parking for a couple of cars.
The owners live on site with their dogs. They're separate, you've got your own space, but you'll see them around.
It's a quiet village. The local pubs for food are a short drive: The Ship Inn in West Stour or The Kings Arms in East Stour. The Coppleridge Inn is good for views.
Shaftesbury is about five minutes away. You've got Gold Hill there, which is that famous steep cobbled street. Stourhead house and gardens are about fifteen minutes' drive. Sherborne with its abbey is twenty minutes.
For a day out, Longleat safari park is half an hour away. The Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is right on the doorstep for walks. The coast, like Lulworth or Durdle Door, is about forty-five minutes to an hour.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a separate tumble dryer in the utility room, a dishwasher, WiFi, a highchair and a cot if you need them. No pets allowed.
