The Organic Cabin is on a working farm just outside Horsington. It's at one end of a field, not far from the main farmhouse. You look out across the Blackmore Vale. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, one shower room. It's all on one level. The floor is polished concrete and there's underfloor heating. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and modern.
The farm is about 22 acres. You can wander around, say hello to the animals if you want. There's a barn with haystacks kids can play in, and a tree house. The owners have a natural swimming pool that uses plants instead of chemicals. It's available all year.
They focus on being sustainable. The furniture is, too. Your welcome hamper has local eggs, some cider from Oliver Dowding, milk, tea, and coffee.
You're in a Dark Sky area, so the stars at night are really clear.
It's a good base for the area. Bruton is about 20 minutes away for Hauser & Wirth gallery. Glastonbury is about half an hour. Sherborne, with its abbey, is close. For walks, you're on the edge of the Blackdown Hills area.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
Feltham's Cottage is nearby if you need more space for a larger group.
