Feltham's Cottage Horsington Marsh

Feltham's Cottage is on our working farm in Horsington Marsh. It's a two-bedroom place that sleeps four. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The cottage is one of two on the farm, the other being The Organic Cabin. They share a garden that backs onto the stable yard. You're welcome to wander over our 22 acres. The kids can play in the hay barn and there's a treehouse. You can help feed the animals if you like, or not. It's up to you.

We've got a natural swimming pool. It's cleaned by plants, not chemicals. It's available all year, but it's obviously colder in winter. It's rainwater, so it's soft. There's also a nature trail on the land. It's a Dark Sky area here, so the stars are very clear at night.

Inside, it's open-plan downstairs. There's a kitchen, dining area, and living space with a wood burner. We've left some old board games and DVDs. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and the family bathroom. We try to use sustainable furniture and the welcome hamper has local organic bits in it, like eggs and cider from just down the road.

Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. We've also got an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to two dogs.

For things to do, you're out in the country. There's a riding school nearby. The town of Sherborne is about 20 minutes drive. It has an old abbey and shops. Bruton is about 25 minutes away, that's where the Hauser & Wirth art gallery is. Glastonbury Tor is roughly half an hour. Good walking starts from the door.
