Hayloft Barn

This is Hayloft Barn. It's our converted barn on our farm just outside Clifford. Detached, so it's on its own. You get views over our fields and towards the Black Mountains. It's a quiet spot.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has everything you need. The stairs are a ship's ladder, steep and narrow. You have to be okay with that. There's also a low beam upstairs you'll need to duck under.

It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and sometimes hear tractors. There are footpaths off the farm. Offa's Dyke Path runs right through it, which is a good start for a walk into Hay or up onto the hills.

Hay-on-Wye is about four miles away. That's where the bookshops are. The town has cafes and pubs for food. The Hay Castle site is worth a look if you're interested. The River Wye is nearby for a walk or if you fancy kayaking.

For a proper day out, Hereford is maybe half an hour by car. Cathedral, museums, bigger shops. The National Trust and Brecon Beacons National Park sites have good information for walks and places to visit locally.

Inside: it's open plan downstairs. Kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a wood burner, TV, wifi. The loft area has a sofa, books, and board games. We provide bedding and towels. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger.

We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. The garden is enclosed but it's not totally escape-proof for a very determined dog, so you'd need to keep an eye on them.
