Fallow's Holt
Fallow's Holt is in Buildwas, right by the River Severn. It's a new, detached cottage next to our house. You've got the place to yourselves, and an enclosed garden that looks out onto the trees.
It's for two people, really. There's one king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower. Upstairs has a second living area with a smart TV and a sofa bed, which is there if you need to bring kids along. I wouldn't say it's ideal for four adults.
The stairs are a typical cottage flight, a bit steeper and narrower than modern ones.
It's quiet here. You'll see deer in the coppice sometimes. Ironbridge is about a ten-minute drive away for the museums, shops, and places to eat. Shrewsbury is maybe twenty-five minutes. Good for a day out.
If you're walking, the Severn Way goes past the end of the lane. You can fish in the river there, but you'll need a permit from the Shropshire Angling Federation.
The cottage has a dishwasher, washing machine, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
