Willow Cottage
Willow Cottage is in Telford. It’s a two hundred year old place, right on the bank of the River Severn. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It’s a 3 Star, so it’s clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
The main thing is the river. The cottage faces down it, so you get that view. There’s a long lawn that runs down from the back door to the river bank. There are steps down the bank if you want to fish from there. There’s a gazebo in the garden too, which is a nice spot.
You can walk into Ironbridge from here. It’s easy off-road. The famous Iron Bridge itself is from 1779 and the town has plenty of pubs and places to eat. All the main museums about the Industrial Revolution are there.
Plenty of National Trust houses are a short drive away. A bus goes through the village if you don’t fancy driving, and you can get a taxi from Telford main station.
Inside, you’ve got what you’d expect. A washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. The shower is electric.
