The Old Toll House is on the main road through Coalport, just before you cross the bridge over the River Severn. It's detached. You'll know it by the big arched entrance. It used to be the toll house for the bridge.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has things like a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is secure, but the main road is right there, so you need to keep an eye on them.
You're about a hundred yards from the river. You can walk along it towards the Coalport China Museum, which is just up the road. Ironbridge is about a five minute drive. There's a pub and a restaurant a couple of minutes' walk away.
For local walks, the cycle route is right there. You can hire cycles in Jackfield, which is the next village along. If you want to go on the river, you can hire canoes in Ironbridge.
The main thing here is the history. You're right in the middle of the Ironbridge Gorge. Everything is close. Useful links for planning: The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and National Trust Shropshire.
Further out, you've got Shrewsbury about half an hour away, and the Wrekin hill if you want a proper walk with a view. Bridgnorth is about fifteen minutes by car.
Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included.
