Pride of Erin is a cottage on our working farm. It's a quiet spot, but only about three miles from the town of Linlithgow.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms, and has two shower rooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is fairly new and works properly. The main living area downstairs is open plan, so the kitchen, dining and sitting room are all in one space. The stairs are normal. You can bring one dog.
Outside, there's a small enclosed garden. You can walk around the farm on grass tracks; it's about two miles if you do the whole loop. It's good for dogs. There's a place to store bikes. We also have an electric vehicle charger.
The farm is right next to the M9, Junction 3. You hear some road noise because of that. It's very handy for driving, though. Edinburgh airport is about 15 minutes away. Linlithgow train station is a mile or so from here, with direct trains to Edinburgh (15 minutes) and Glasgow (25 minutes).
A five-minute walk up the road is the Champany Inn. It's a steak restaurant, quite well-known. In Linlithgow itself, there's a few pubs and places to eat. The main attraction there is Linlithgow Palace. It's a ruin you can walk around. It's good if you like history.
Edinburgh is about 20 miles east, Stirling about 24 miles northwest. Both are easy drives. If you want to go further, you're close to the bridges over the Firth of Forth to get to Fife, and it's not far to the edge of the Trossachs either.
For facilities: it's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
