The Lodge is on the edge of Linlithgow. It’s on a working farm, so you look out over fields, but you’re only a five minute walk into the town centre. It’s detached.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One has a super king bed. The other has two small single beds that you can zip together to make a king if you prefer. There’s one bathroom, with a walk-in shower.
The living room has a wood burning stove. The wifi is fine. There’s a smart TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The dining table sits four easily, or it extends for six if you have people over.
Linlithgow Palace is the big attraction here, it’s a ruin you can walk through. The loch is nice for a stroll. The train station is about a fifteen minute walk. Trains to Edinburgh Waverley take around twenty minutes. Stirling is about half an hour by car.
If you drive, The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel are about twenty minutes away. For a longer day out, the southern edge of the Highlands, like Loch Lomond, is about a fifty minute drive.
Facilities: there’s parking right outside. The garden is enclosed. There’s a cot and a highchair. Bicycle storage. It’s all on one level with step-free access at the entrance.
